This 48-hour online course is for chiropractic assistants who wish to obtain radiography certification.
Presented by the South Carolina Chiropractic Association (SCCA) in partnership with York Technical College, this course covers 4 modules over a 32-week span:

Radiographic Imaging Equipment and Accessories

Radiographic Exposure and Patient Safety

Radiographic Anatomy and Positioning of the Axial Skeleton and Chest

Radiographic Anatomy and Positioning of the of the Appendicular Skeleton
You will explore the topics of radiation physics, x-ray generation, radiographic film storage and handling, applications, screen characteristics, construction of intensifying screens, automatic processing, and artifact analysis.
Students are also required to participate in a clinical component for successful completion.
Upon completing the course, students must contact the SCCA to enroll in the Certification Exam.
