This course is eligible for scholarship funding!
In this instructor-led course, you will learn both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both prehospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on high-quality CPR, automated external defibrillator (AED), and team dynamics.
You will participate in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations, working with an AHA BLS Instructor to complete BLS skills practice and skills testing and finish the course by completing a written exam. AHA BLS Provider Manual and pocket mask are included with the course and will be given to students in class.
The American Heart Association’s new Basic Life Support (BLS) Course includes science and education from the 2015 Guidelines Update for Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
