Entrepreneur Business Model Bootcamp

This workshop will enable individuals wishing to start a business the opportunity to develop and organize their ideas using the Business Model Canvas framework.  The workshop content is appropriate for anyone with an innovative idea and an entrepreneurial spirit.  Participants may range from high school students to retirees.  For those who actually start their business, the cost of the workshop will likely be tax deductible. 

The workshop will be conducted by David J. Warner.  Prior to his retirement, Mr. Warner founded and served as Director of the Technology Incubator at Knowledge Park in Rock Hill, South Carolina, where, for nearly ten years, he coached over 200 startups and small businesses. 

The training portion of the workshop will include an introduction to the Business Model Canvas (based on the book, Business Model Generation, by Alexander Osterwalder), an annotated slide presentation, training videos developed by Startegyzer, with example scenarios, and discussions led by the facilitator.

Workshop participants will receive a copy of the Business Model Canvas to plot out their proposed business idea. The instructor will coach the participants through the initial completion of the nine building blocks of the Business Model Canvas.  Once participants have a completed Business Model Canvas to work with, the facilitator will guide the participants through the process of using the Business Model Canvas to organize, start and grow their businesses.
