During this course students will build on the foundational skills of American Sign Language Part 1 by expanding their vocabulary, increasing sentence complexity, and developing greater fluency in expressive and receptive signing. This course will focus on conversational practice, storytelling, and cultural awareness, helping students communicate more confidently and naturally in ASL.
The instructor for this course will be Javonda Adams. She also teaches ASL at Central Piedmont Community College and serves as the Cultural Affairs Director for MyASLTeacherRocks. Her work emphasizes ASL immersion, Deaf cultural competency, and community-based learning experiences that support students, interpreters and educators.
