Emergency medical technicians, also known as first responders, are in great demand.  You can start a rewarding career as an EMT with just three to six months of training.  EMTs work in a variety of settings, including county emergency services departments, private ambulance and transport companies and hospitals.  This course prepares you to take the National Registry exam.

Per Department of Health and Environmental Control regulations, college-level math and reading skills are required to register for this course.
Potential EMT students must present copies of proof to be submitted to DHEC prior to registering.
